Lane Closures

Notice of Lane Closures on Placida Road March 1 thru March 23

Port Charlotte, Fla. (Feb. 27,2018) – Lane closures on Placida Road at the intersection of the Boca Grande Causeway on Thursday, March 1 and Friday, March 2. The closures are required to install new traffic control loops prior to final paving.
Intermittent lane closures at various locations on Placida Road will occur between Monday, March 5 thru Friday, March 23. These closures are required for paving operations. Advance warning signs and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic through and around the paving operations. Travelers will experience intermittent, slow moving traffic and/or temporary delays within the project limits and should allow extra time when planning to travel through this area.
The Placida Rd. project is currently under construction by Guymann Construction and is expected to be complete by May 2018.
