The Roads and Bridges MSBU is nearing the finalization of securing official assistance for trapping and exterminating the iguana infestation. They aim to address questions regarding the types of traps, the frequency of checks to protect gopher tortoises, the availability of personnel, among other concerns. Iguana control – Stuart Jump will attend the July 11th regular meeting of the MSBU committee at the West County Annex on San Casa Drive. He is Assistant District Supervisor for Southwest Florida, USDA APHIS Wildlife Services. His contractor is responsible for iguana control on Boca Grande. He will answer all your questions about the contemplated contract for iguana control on DPKI. Members of the public are invited to attend.
