CALL TO ACTION #1:
SEND YOUR OBJECTIONS TO THE PSC! You may have received legal notice from Environmental Utilities, LLC (EU) alerting you to their application to the Public Service Commission (PSC) for the installation of central sewer on the Islands. PIE opposes this application. As property owners in the prospective service area we hope that you will respond to this notice IMMEDIATELY. Please take 10 minutes right now to consider these questions:
Simply send your email to the Clerk of the Commission with a copy to the PSC Commissioners (email addresses below). Make sure to identify yourself with your name, property address (identify Island) and your email address. State your objections to the application. These letters should be personalized so we have not included a form letter. However, if you're stuck we have a list of potential impacts to homeowners that can help. Interested? CLICK HERE Don’t forget to ask the PSC to deny EU’s application for wastewater service. |
CALL TO ACTION #2:
BECOME AN "INTERESTED PERSON" If you have already sent your opposition letter to the Public Service Commission, the next step is to sign up as an "Interested Person." What this means is, you will receive emails from the Clerk at the PSC each time there is an important change to the docket i.e. dates have been added to the calendar or legal documents have been posted. According to the PSC, "interested persons" receive notices for hearing, prehearing, proposed agency action orders, final orders, and notices of Commission conferences via e-mail. You will NOT be "spammed" by the PSC and will only receive pertinent communications from them. Send an email to the Clerk of the Commission and request to be included as an "Interested Person" in docket #20240032. Give them your name, mailing address, email address, phone number and fax number if available. It's an effortless way to stay informed. EMAIL: [email protected] Please note that contact information posted to the docket is public record and will be available on internet searches. Any changes to your contact information or to have the information removed from the docket must also be sent to [email protected]. Emails should not be sent to specific Commission Clerk members directly as they have the potential to not be seen in a timely way. You may contact the PSC at (850) 413-6770 or send an email to [email protected] if you have any questions. We're just getting started! Stay involved with us. |
