This night is being generously hosted by our friends at the exquisite Hideaway restaurant—just a short drive from the ferry and closed for just this one night to everyone but us! To make the night even more special, you’ll have the chance to meet the renowned French chef, Stephanie, and hear firsthand about the inspiration behind each dish and wine pairing!

As if an incredible night of food and wine weren’t enough, we’re coming together to support the PIE Action Committee in the fight against the sewer. The evening will also feature exciting raffles generously donated by the Hideaway and a few additional silent auction items.

We’re nearing the finish line in this critical round of the fight the central sewer system. That means very soon the legal fees for our attorneys, expert witnesses, and other essential costs are coming due. This fundraiser is a crucial step toward preserving our community's unique character and safeguarding our future.

Here’s why we’re fighting so hard:

1. Central sewer opens the door to high-rises, as we've seen on Fort Myers Beach and Anna Maria

2. Every household will pay over $45k—without financing, exceptions, or the ability to opt out.

3. It will devastate our landscaping, disrupt daily life, and make post-hurricane recovery look like a minor inconvenience by comparison

If we sell all 44 seats at $350*, we will make $9460 and a group of islanders will have a amazing culinary experience.

About the Chef

Chef Stephanie, a French native, and Darel, an American, met at a farmer’s market in Tampa, sparking a journey that celebrates the power of food to bring people together. Growing up in France, Stephanie's passion for fresh ingredients was nurtured by her parents, who owned restaurants. This early exposure led her to a fulfilling career in the culinary world, filled with adventure and a desire to share her love of food. Darel, raised on a horse farm in Maine, enjoyed a military career that took him around the globe, allowing him to discover diverse and delightful cuisines, with Italy and France being his favorites. Together, their experiences culminated in a trio of stores Sassy Tarts, Nico B's Pizzeria, and The Hideaway that have transformed Englewood's culinary landscape.
